Location: The Bight, Norman Island
Day 19! One full day left – we are so close to the finish line. Today was yet another action-packed day, with activities that varied from the shipwreck (!!!) to a short hike. For breakfast, we had cereal, and after that, we pulled up our anchor and headed to Salt Island. During this hour-long trip, Charles, Reid, Max, and I had the chance to helm. When we arrived at Salt Island, we got ready for the shipwreck. Most of us had been waiting for this moment the whole trip, so there was imminent hype. We went over to the dive boat, Amused, and got our gear on. We then started the dive and quickly reached the wreck. Personally, I had a blast – I think the same was true for most of Meow. The majority of us saw sharks, some reef, and some nurse. Some of us were lucky enough to get to go through the shipwreck. After the wreck, we went back to the boat and swam.
Reid, Reese Rut, Dalila, and Enya all saw hundreds of tiny and big fish. Georgia Libby did some RAD dingee flips during this time. After the swim, we went on a hike by the salt lakes, which were boiling hot. Then we went back to the boat and had a nice downwind sail where we went wing on wing. In the evening, Reese Rut and Eliza made some broccoli cheddar pasta. After this delicious dinner, Sophie and Reese Roth. Made the roles for tomorrow, July 4th race, which we all hope we will win 🏆. We all are looking forward to seeing all of our parents in a couple of days!
