Location: Saba, Dutch Caribbean

My name is Anno, and I’m the skipper on the “Meow or Never.” After getting good sleep after the overnight trip, we woke up to have pancakes made by Carolina and Jada. After that, we got ready to go into Saba for our hike. We got on the island and took a taxi up to the start of the trail. There were two different trails. Mary, Jada, Ethan, and Carolina went together on one path, and Claire, Anda, Ale, Ari, and I took the other one. Ale and I split off from the group to go with students from the other boat, and together, we went to a different peak of the mountain than the others. The trail Ale and I took was especially muddy, which was not good for my new white shoes (which are now completely brown). After we came down from the peak, we met up with the others and went down to a different spot, where we all climbed up on some rocks before heading back. Going back down was not much faster than going up because we had to worry about not slipping on the rocks. Anda and I were the last ones to make it back from the top of the mountain. Once we got back, most of us got paninis from the bakery there. Claire really liked hers, and she says it was the best meal she had had so far. After both boats got together again, all of Minerva walked up to the glass shop, where we got to make our own glass beads! Once we were all done, everyone went back to our boats to finish up for the night. Back on the boat, Ethan, Ale, Carolina, and I played a new card game called “President,” but more people joined, so we switched to a game called “Spoons.” For dinner, we had beef stroganoff. Now for our evening activity, we are doing a Sail Talk and going to watch a movie!
