Location: Savanna Bay, Virgin Gorda
Hey, y’all, it’s Meg! Today was very adventurous. We woke up around seven and ate cinnamon muffins, which sadly had tree nuts in them. Then, we headed over to Savannah Bay Beach, learned how to use our compasses with our dive buddies, and made some new friends as well. Then, we followed the dolphin program on the “”easy flip-flop hike”” which wasn’t easy at all. Scottie’s flip-flop broke, and we went barefoot for a second, but the view was really pretty. After that, we came back, and Sienna and Sam made us some delicious chicken salad sandwiches, and then we got ready to do our first navigation dive! While we went on our dive, Matthew got his open water certification and saw a lobster. We practiced our new skills with navigation and took turns counting our kicks, going in a straight line, and making it back to where we started. After our dive, everyone took showers, and Sienna, Reese, Hays, Sam, and Kate did some cool tricks into the water, and Lyla and Ari attempted to. Then Evan, me, and I were all air-dried while dinner was cooking. Tonight was a chilly night! And we had a very special guest, MIKE! We had some very funny convos and then squeezed and cleaned up and are getting ready for a night diver lecture and are making some yummy chocolate milk and time for bed for our very big day tomorrow at the baths bright and early! πΈπΈπΈπππ
