Location: Savanna Bay, Virgin Gorda
The day started with many of the other Action Quest vessels leaving Savannah Bay. We were one of the last to leave. Our first activity was a hike across an island to see the differences between the windward and leeward sides of the island. Stormy found a beautiful shell, and Humphrey found a hermit crab that he named Hermie. After we got underway to our first dive site, Humphrey took one of his many naps, and Alex broke out her never-ending book. We got to our dive sight and did our navigation dive. Humphrey was not a fan of his decompression stop. Mimi was concerned when she surfaced with 30 out of 3000 psi until she realized she was looking at the bar level; she had 700 psi. Diego and Pablo also surfaced with low air, 450 psi, and finished the dive first, even after being lost underwater. The dive finished with all of us safely aboard and heading back to Savannah Bay. We finished the day with some water skiing. Alex, Antonio, Nina, and Ruby all elected to stay aboard, while Henry, Humphrey, Diego, Pablo, Stormy, and Emma went wakeboarding and kneeboarding. Diego and Pablo did really well and did some crazy tricks; on the other hand, Humphrey couldn’t even get up all bark no bite, he was not really good, and Stormy didn’t fare much better. Emma knee boarded well and the day ended with a tasty chili dinner cooked by Stormy and Emma, we were lucky enough to be joined by GXG director, Mike’s wife, Jo, and her nephew Jasper for dinner. The staff baked up some scones for them to enjoy while we got some brookies (brownie cookies). We finished the night off with our Night Diver reviews.
