Location: Muskmelon Bay, Guana Island
Today, we woke up at around 7 o’clock to the pancakes that Lordy and Tate had cooked while the staff was away at a staff meeting. After breakfast, we wished Nathan a happy 19th birthday and celebrated by giving him his birthday gifts of bday popcorn and “Life Insurance.” After sailing to Mountain Point, we dove the Kraken (a really cool Pearl Harbor shipwreck). Huddy, Lordy, Jaden, and I were punching one of the buckets underwater. After the dive, we all had ramen noodles for lunch. I took a fat nap on the roof, which was pretty good. Then we sailed to where we are now for the night, Muskmelon Bay. On our way here, we also wrote and planned out our emergency action plan for rescue scenarios. Once we got here, Alana, Jaden, Catalina, Eve, and I all swam with Eve’s flamingo tube for a while. Then we had a rice and chili dinner after setting up our dive gear for our night dive! Dinner was delicious, and we all enjoyed it. On our night dive, we all saw a couple of stingrays and some hermit crabs. The night dive was definitely the highlight of the day. After we had made cake and sang happy birthday to Nathan. The cake was good. It was a really good day. Time to settle in for the night!
