Location: Mountain Point, Virgin Gorda
What a day! This morning we woke up early and motored over to the “dogs,” which is a dive site. When we got to the dogs, we had our second navigation dive, which was a success. We all made it back to the boat and used our compasses with ease. When we got back on the boat, we hung around and got ready for our next dive, which was a fun dive. This means that no counselors were on the dive, so we were in charge of everything on the dive. Laney, Anzie, and I were dive buddies, and we swam around. We got some pictures on my GoPro and had fun underwater. Although that fun abruptly stopped once I realized that I had actually dropped my GoPro somewhere on the dive, and it was not a good situation. Although, as soon as we got up to the surface and I expressed my sadness about the loss of my GoPro, Sally, and Chloe immediately rushed to my assistance and geared up and hopped in the water to help me find it. They found it! They are going to make excellent rescue divers, and I honestly trust that they are capable of rescuing and searching for anything in the ocean. Very impressive. Their parents should be proud of the brave girls they have raised.
After the joyous reunion of me and my GoPro, we had mac and cheese for lunch and motored to “Mountain Point,” where we stayed the night. Sally and KK gave Jayden a mac and cheese facial, and his skin was high-key glowing after. After that, we hung around the boat and swum and played soccer. Cheers to Ozzie for buying a soccer ball at shore yesterday. We will all be World Cup-ready by the end of the trip. After this, the girls have blessed with the opportunity to snorkel a secret “moon pool”. We entered an underwater swim-through, had a ceremony, and became mermaids. The boys also snorkeled the moon pool later, but they didn’t do a ceremony, so they did not become mermen, unfortunately.
After we transformed, we then did water sports. Kk and Anzie wakeboarded, Sally and Laney, and I knee-boarded, Jayden and James, and Josh wakeboarded. Ozzie and Teddy played chess back on the boat. We then had shower time and got ready for dinner, which was veggie burgers. Now we are about to have another dive lecture, and then we will go to sleep.
