Location: White Bay, Peter Island
ALOHA!! Today was our first real day, and everyone had the best time. We had an early start to the day, around 6 am, with heavy rain (thankfully, it did not last very long, though.) Followed by a talk with mike to begin our AQ journey. After we started our sail to Peter Island, many of us laid out together at the front of the boat, catching waves. Today, since I am the skipper, I got to help sail and work the helm. Our chefs, Lilly and Logan, prepared deli sandwiches for lunch. Finally, when we reached our destination, everyone could not wait to jump in the water.
We did have to do the swim test, which included laps around the boat and a 10-minute tread. Once we finished, we came back on the boat for a dive briefing to prepare for our checkout dive. Many of us were worried about how it would go, but thankfully, it was very easy for us. After our skills were finished, we stayed underwater to dive a little. Everyone really enjoyed it being back underwater. This was followed by everyone swimming together on our pool floats and hanging out in the water. We took pictures and had fun! After, we took ocean showers, which felt great to clean. Our chefs made a great Sloppy Joe meal. We are going over soon to Pure Joy, another boat, for a dive chat to just go over some basic knowledge. Everyone had a great day, and we can’t wait for tomorrow!!!
