Location: Marina Cay
Our morning began with the most important meal of the day, breakfast. We enjoyed a delicious stack of pancakes crafted meticulously by our wonderful chef, Catherine, assisted by the one and only sous chef, Greta! They were da bomb! Freddy and Greta assisted with the fly problem on board by swatting away with all their might!! Thanks y’all! The kind-hearted and super awesome Ella braided the luscious locks atop the heads of Arden, Jordan, and Greta. So talented!! Following our spectacular first meal, we left behind the beautiful Mountain Point and continued our journey onward to Trellis Bay, where we filled our water tanks! The lovely Rachel was responsible for our roaming fender, and protecting our superb boat/home from sustaining any damage by the dock! Once our water was at a whopping 100%, we set sail once more to the breathtaking island of Tortola. Alyssa was tasked with the most important job of all: protecting our beloved Sumo from the mean, scary propellor at the stern! Her life-guarding skills really came in handy!!! Once arrived, we explored all the amazing shops Tortola had to offer!
There, we bought super awesome t-shirts and admired the inspiring ceramics and paint studio next door! After our tiresome shopping spree, we girls enjoyed an unmatched meal at the Mexican/sushi restaurant! Such rarity! Brig enjoyed some steaming hot pizza, and Freddy consumed some conch fritters! Yum! Tucker finally got his chicken fingers with honey mustard, which he’s been craving since day one! Yay! Carson made some new AQ friends on land from the boat Shamwari, which means “my friend.” So cool! Jordan continued to strengthen her bond with her boat family through many hugs and meaningful conversations! She’s the best!!! Saying goodbye to the island of Tortola, our AQ fleet anchored nearby. From there, we bathed ourselves in the sparky blue Caribbean Sea! We wrapped up our meal with the squeeze question of the day: what is your dream profession? After a delectable meal of chili and rice, Claire bravely led our dishy pit team through another hard day’s work!
Yay, Claire! We’re having the times of our lives here and have grown to absolutely love boat life and the family we’ve made along the way! Arden, Tyler, and Garrett are the absolute best staff at AQ, and we’re so lucky to have them!!! Thanks to Arden and Garrett, the entire fleet got a hefty food restock today. Whoop Whoop! Tyler showed us his super wonderful dance moves, as per usual! Go king! Sending all my love back home!! Hi mom, dad, Sam, and Grandma, I miss you guys so much, and can’t wait to shower you all with hugs upon my return home! Give Bobby and Jack next Ra hugs and pets for me, please; I miss my babies! Hi Henry and family, I miss you guys so much, and I’m counting down the days until our next Andy’s run. Please, please give Grover some belly rubs in my honor!! I miss my fluffy friend!!!! OMG, I almost forgot: I found a Cusick family doppelgänger!!! I swear I thought he was Jack the first time I saw him on the dive boat!!! So weird, right?! I love you all to the beach and back!!!
XOXO, Molly
