Location: West End, Tortola

Today the shipmates arrived in Tortola to board our vessel. The weather, unfortunately, was cloudy and rainy. When I heard the name of the boat I would be spending the next three weeks in, I was a little confused, but the crew came up with the name “JDV II” or “Joyride.” After meeting our shipmates, staff, captain Craig, Tucker, and Tor, we checked in and took a swim test. To my surprise, the water was very warm, and I could see all the way to the bottom. After that, we came back, and captain Craig made tortellini. It was very good. Dinner was full of us meeting each other, laughs, and the squeeze question “where are you from, why are you here, and your name.” Afterward, we got in our cabins and fell asleep looking forward to the big sail the following day.
