Hi everybody, it’s Lucy. Day 10, what a day! It started off with some Charlie XCX and a shower of rain for everybody, especially Mathilda in her hammock. Had some cereal and a quick start to the day with our advanced group going on two shipwreck dives for a few hours in the morning, jellyfish were everywhere, and sadly, Leila’s eyes really hurt, so she wasn’t able to go on the second. Amelia did a backflip in the water and Carla caught a jellyfish, the jellyfish weren’t so lucky when Holden and Michelle beat them up. It was a fish ID dive, so they drew fish and some funky blobs. The open water began their day with me teaching Kabul ( an English card game), which took a while for everyone to get the hang of, and Jack getting too confident, but it was fun all around. Next, we did our final open water test with the company of Nacho Dinghy boat, where we all passed!!! WOOOOOOOOPPP, then moving on to making anklets. Jack ended up burning off his leg hair, which was very entertaining for the rest of us. With the return of the advanced came ramen noodles for lunch. A quick cleanup and off the open water divers went for their first proper dive whilst the other sat chilled on the boat.
A very enjoyable and shocking dive for us as there was TRILLIONS of jellyfish and even some pink meanies ( DEADLY) Mathilda was scared for life as one had gone right past her face. The other nearly saw a shark but then got confused in the chaos and didn’t understand the hand singles by the DM on top of her head 🙄😠We did not do our second dive as it was too dangerous ( Tyler was scared ). We headed back to the boat, wishing Skylar luck for her dive, and returned safely. Got back with the news of no night dive for the advanced group, which Carla was very pleased to hear. Filled our bellies with snacks and played Sloane’s game, silent football ( which i was very bad at ) the group needed up with nicknames such as Dr Dinkling and Dr Finkle ( everyone was titled Dr ). This was then followed by one bounce with Nat’s ball on the bow, where the ball kept falling in the water, where Jules showed us his incredible diving and back flipping skills, and Nat’s football skills. After a stinky day, it was shower time, where Mathilda’s nightmares came true of a jellyfish stinging her, but all is good now, she is feeling better, don’t worry. Griffin had to wait for the poopy water to go away as the girls’ toilets BROKE FOR THE THIRD TIME ( shout out to Skyler, our savior ). The chefs, Michelle, Mathilda, and Sloane, made our yummy Thanksgiving feast, which everyone gobbled up like a turkey HAAHAHAHAH ( get the joke ).
Then, at the end, the question was what is something you want to do but haven’t yet, and many interesting answers were shared. A vote between two games resulted in us playing hide and seek. Jules was the seeker, and everyone else mischievously hid. Holden and I ran to the mask locker, where Holden decided to graciously give his spot to me and kept my location secret and hid in the engine room with Jack, where Jack ripped a fat fart!!! 💩🤮. Mia and Skyler had to evacuate as they thought they had broken something, and 90 % of the others hid in the sail bag. Carla’s great spot under the beanbag sadly did not take her to the end. Holden, Carla and jack stalling for me and sitting on top of the locker door checking every few minutes i was still alive as they shooed Jules away. This didn’t work for long as he caught on and found me, BUT I WON!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! This then leads to a dinner cleanup where Leila and Carla got dirty in the dishy pit while Holden and Jack laughed. This all happened whilst i wrote this very blog and hopefully and eventful evening. See you tomorrow, folks, hope you enjoyed your day and my little story time. Updates continue tomorrow, and GOODNIGHT EVERYONE!
