Good morning party people!! Today is day 10, and the day we do our wreck dive #2 and our night dive #3 (well, at least the rest of the boat). This morning was very slow. This was due to the fact that we were able to wake up at 7 in the morning, ish, and not have to worry about rushing to get out of bed. After we got up, the staff had to go to a top-secret meeting. And today’s breakfast was pancakes, so Byron and Daniella made about 35 – 40 of them things. While eating our pancakes, we were attacked by a boat that goes by Good Times. Discussing what we should do to retaliate, we decided it would be good to discuss this with the staff so we don’t get in major trouble. Thinking of things to do before the staff got back, we thought it would make them super happy to tidy up the boat or, even more importantly, the saloon. While cleaning up the vessel, I thought of the awesome idea of playing dope tunes on my super dope JBL speaker, but instead, we thought it would be even cooler to play it off the boat, so we did just that. This made Good Times very jealous, which was good enough retaliation because none of the other boats had music. We were jamming for ages until the staff came back and had to shut off the music. When the staff were back on board, I realized I might have an ear infection. Sadly it was carnival day, so all the clinics were closed. So if it’s still bad tomorrow, well, get it checked out, but for today, we decided I should stay out of the water.
Motoring out of Trellis, Cici and I were talking about how we can make up the two dives I’m going to miss, and she said I would hopefully be able to make them up. She just has to check with Matt (1 of 3 camp directors). As soon as we grabbed the mooring ball in Mt. Point, everyone but me kitted up for the Kraken wreck dive. The Kraken is a really cool tourist attraction of a wreck that was modified by locals, so it looked like a Kraken was eating a ship. I wasn’t able to see it, but I was able to spend some quality time with Cici jamming to some reggae while we waited for the rest of the boat to come back from their dive. While drying off, Byron started the Grilled cheese we were having for lunch. Making the grilled cheese, Cici very slowly motored out of Mt. Point so we could pull out the Jib sheet and start the compressor while we sailed to Musk Mellon to do our night dive.
We are entering Musk Mellon, the sky is bright, the wind is low, and I’m sweating so much that I look like I just came home from a nice day at the pool. Waiting for Matt to put up the mooring line, we went over the deep diving section in our advanced open water books. In the middle of Katie and Amanda’s deep lecture, Cici yelled that there was a dolphin in the day! We all stopped what we were doing, and Katie and Amanda even jumped in to see if they could swim with it, but unfortunately, it wasn’t a very friendly dolphin, and it swam away. After that, we were cleared to pick up the line. I was able to get it first try, but when putting the line through the hole, I messed that up badly, but we don’t have to talk about that. After the deep dive talk, everyone, but me, got their snorkels and observed the dive site for the night dive to get familiar with the surroundings. While they were doing that, I was up on the hardtop chilling and playing my awesome reggae tunes waiting for everyone to get back. Getting out of the water, Cici Started dinner for us, and today we had beef stroganoff. At about 5:45 – 6 pm, we ate, and since I was skipper, I had to select a question for the squeeze. I asked, “What is your most favorite compliment” My favorite is a compliment about my personality. After dinner, I started this blog which is probably my favorite part about today because it was kind of the only time-consuming thing I was able to do today. As you’re reading this, it is 7:47 pm, and I have not been able to create a name for this blog since I woke up. So, if you see a title for this very long blog, it was very thoroughly thought out.

Goodnight, party people,

Alex.
