Location: Sidney's, Jost van Dyke

Today we began with one of the earliest mornings yet. At an early 6:00 am wake-up time, we had to scramble to eat our breakfast cereals and get dressed in preparation for our 3-hour, 7 1/2-mile hike. Once we were all situated on the shore, we were given a brief rundown of the hike and its rules by Mike and were quickly shocked by an incredibly steep mile-long section of the road. This section was easily the most difficult section of the hike, and once it was cleared, it was smooth sailing to the top. Upon reaching the top, there were two things, a book to sign to indicate our success and a smoothie shop run by a nice charming elderly man. After hiking back down, we spent a couple of hours on Cane Garden Bay beach. We interacted with the other boats, ate lunch, and shopped. At 1:15 pm, we got on a dinghy to go back to the boat to decompress and relax before our second activity of the day. At 2:00 pm, we arrived at Sandy Cay Beach for a sandcastle competition. We spent about 2 hours hanging out on the beach with all the other boats before heading back and prepping for tonight’s barbecue. Following our showers and cleanup session of our boat, we headed to Sydney’s Peace and Love barbecue for our final activity of the night. We ate chicken, pasta salad, potato salad, fruit, and other assorted foods. Once we finished dinner, we socialized and danced to the DJ for about 2 1/2 hours. At 10:00 pm, we called it a night and were shuttled back to our boats, with our crew completely exhausted mentally, physically, and socially.
