Location: Sidney's, Jost van Dyke

Hey Y’all. It’s me, the sunburned teenager, again. This morning, we were rudely awakened from our restless sleep at around 6 AM by Skyler telling us to get up and get ready for ✨the hike✨. For breakfast we had a totally healthy and filling breakfast of cereal, and for some of us (Nat, Jack, Sloane) a Red Bull. We started the hike at 7 AM, and after a short talk on the dock, we were off. Automatically, Jack was at the front of the pack, attempting to beat Will (Glad 2 B Here Staff) and win when it became clear that he was not going to beat Will up the hill. Lucy, Leila, and Nat were also hiking together, but they were all calling home; we had our phones! Michelle and Carla were also hiking together; they were determined to reach the banana smoothies. In the end, I was hiking with people from Dive Side, and it was great getting to know more people without being at a BBQ. After the hike, we all had lunch, some of us got up and down before others (who might or might not have gotten lost in the woods) so we all ate at different places, but once we were all done, we met back up at Rhythm and Sands (where Carla, Lucy, Michelle, Leila, and I got lunch). After lunch, we finally got to get more snacks for the boat! After our town time, we headed to ✨the sand castle contest✨. Our “sandcastle” was not really a “sandcastle” per se; it was more a mermaid version of Holden. We should have won, but sadly, Hope (another sailboat) gave a really heartfelt (and funny) presentation. After the sandcastle contest, we got ocean showers, then we headed to Sidney’s BBQ. When we were there, we got to buy shirts, take photos, and talk to people on other boats. All the sailside boats (other than the monohull Glad 2 B Here) were rafted together for the night, and it was so fun! So, yeah, that was our day – chaotic, long, but overall fun! I hope you enjoyed my last blog entry.
Sincerely,
A slightly less sunburned teenager.
