Location: Muskmelon Bay, Guana Island

After our 3:15 am rain wakeup call from Mother Nature, we got up at 7:30 to a large batch of Nutella pancakes. We had a slower morning than usual and began our sailing expedition at eleven. We anchored at Muskmelon Bay a couple of hours later, and Gabe and Jonathan, with the help of many others, made our lunch of chicken quesadillas. If you’re wondering what we discuss at our very frequent meals together, today we argued about the pronunciation of quesadilla. After cleaning the dishes and a quick swim, we did some more sail practice. We had a hat overboard situation (my hat, I must admit). Unfortunately, our broom also flew off the boat, and we were unable to find it. We all participated in a diving contest, but Jonathan was the clear winner. We took showers and then prepared our dinner of chili and rice. After dinner, we participated in the squeeze. After sharing our favorite part of the day, we all talked about our happiest memory. Tonight we received our clean laundry, which involved many squeals of excitement. Today was so much fun, and tomorrow we will all be scuba diving, so we are all excited. I can’t wait to see what the second half of the trip brings our way.
