Location: Vixen Point, Gorda Sound
Blue Tide’s crew woke up to a lovely sunny morning in Leverick Bay. Everyone was still very chipper from last night’s beach party festivities! We had a short motor to Vixen Point and got ready for our second rotation day. We tried our hands at windsurfing again and swam on the beach. Elise gave us some helpful tips and Kayleigh took some hilarious photos of our human pyramid and “High School Musical jumps.” The crew headed back to the ship for a quick lunch, then was off to snorkeling in the mangroves. Our snorkeling skills were tested and we got to see some stellar wildlife. Next was watersports in the dinghies. The group tried some more waterskiing, wakeboarding, and kneeboarding. Once back on the boat we showered and prepped for dinner. Jonathon and Sydney made a delicious meal of garden burgers, beans, and mashed potatoes. We had our nightly round of the squeeze where we share our favorite memories of the day and answer the skipper’s question of the day. Kayleigh and the group made Elise some fabulous brownie-cookie-Reese’s bars for her birthday. It was so wonderful to see her huge smile and to spend some quality time together onboard! Now it’s time for dive chat and probably some more loud conversation in our hammocks on the bow! The energy on the boat is positively fantastic and I’m so thankful to be part of this crazy, fun, family! The whole crew is looking forward to more days filled with music, salt water, and lovely memories.
