Location: Mountain Point, Virgin Gorda

We started our morning bright and early by diving. The open water divers completed our confined water dives, while advanced open water divers completed their peak performance buoyancy test. Sariah, Ella, Nadiya, and Sadie saw two sting rays and fish buddies while doing a mini dive. Aidan, Claire, B, Noah, and Celeste swam through a hoopla hoop, knocked over overweights with their regulator and other skills. For the rest of the rotation day, we Frenchies went to the boat “Shamwari” for the water rotations. Nadiya, Houston, Noah, and B went on the dingy with Riley for knee boarding and wakeboarding. We took a break from our activities and had grilled cheese together.

The next activity was paddle boarding. We all relaxed and listened to music together. And our final rotation of the day was enjoying the beach. Julia, Maren, Claire, Celeste, Nadiya, Ella, B, and Sadie enjoyed the beach while Houston, Noah, and Aidan went on a hike and saw hermit crabs the size of oranges. After rotation we picked up anchor and found a new spot for sleeping. After anchoring in our new sport, we had Mexican for dinner, and we had a special guest, Aiden, who is in charge of filling our scuba tanks. Dinner was extremely fun and interesting. It was basically a laughing fest. After dinner, the advanced open water divers went on their night dive. They had glow sticks attached to their tank for extra pizzazz. While they were out, they saw a “ghost” fisherman, squid, and eels. When they arrived back, we all indulged in a night’s ocean swim. It was refreshing and so much fun.
