Location: Vixen Point, Gorda Sound

This morning, we woke up to a birthday song because it was August’s 17th birthday, and there was a banner hanging up. It was our 2nd rotation, so we had to wake up bright and early, around 6:30/7:00. Rotation day was happening when we docked at Vixen Point, so we did not need to sail anywhere. After breakfast and getting ready, we ( the open water people) started our first rotation, which was zesting on the beach. Macy and Milo went together, August and Micah went together, Madeline and Annika went together, and me (Kiki) and Ruby went together. There were three zesting boats, so Ruby and I waited on the beach for our turn. As we watched, no one had tipped over yet, and everyone was doing very well. When Ruby and I went, we started out good and fast until we got stuck. We flipped over almost five times, and a dingy had to come to rescue us and bring us to shore. While we were zesting, the dive masters (Alexis, Scott, Ty, and Amelia) were doing dry demos. After zesting, our second rotation was paddle boarding. We all connected our paddle boards and started to go into the sea. August untied Ruby, Macy, and me and left us with no paddle. Everyone separated and me and Macy were struggling to paddle back to shore.

Milo and Micah were stuck, so a dinghy had to bring them back. After that rotation, it was lunchtime, which was Mac and cheese. August jumped in the water when he saw a barracuda and was trying to take a picture with it. After we ate, we all sang August Happy Birthday. We ate lunch, and it was time for the open waters to ski, kneeboard, and wakeboard and the divemasters were going on a dive, which was right underneath our boat. Ruby, August, and Milo, I were on a boat with Captain Drippy Dreads. August and Milo did wakeboarding while me and I were chilling on the boat.

We did zoomies at the end of the rotation, which is when you speed really fast and swerve a bunch. After that rotation, we came back to the boat to snorkel in the mangroves. We saw a bunch of cool creatures while snorkeling, like stingrays, lobsters, and upside-down jellyfish. While we were snorkeling, the dive masters were studying for their test and hailed the Rum Runner, which is a guy on a boat who sells drinks, they got mango coladas ( virgin obviously). After that rotation we came back to the Graytful and showered in the ocean, we saw a huge barracuda while showering. When we were all done showering, dinner was done, which was veggie burgers which was made by Macy and Alexis. We also had baked beans and mashed potatoes with it. We did squeeze after like usual and did our clean up duties. India started the cake for August. Now, we are all just chilling and about to watch the sunset. Goodnight!!
Miss and love you, Mom, Dad, and Vivi!!! Can’t wait to talk to you soon!!!!
