Location: Savanna Bay, Virgin Gorda

My first job today was the challenge of getting the boat off of the dock. After we got out of the marina, we put up our sails for the first time to head to our first destination: Cooper Island, led by our navigator Emma. After three hours of constant tacking and learning had to sail, we got to Cooper Island and had a swim test, which was to swim six laps around the boat and tread water for 10 minutes. After we had peanut butter and jelly sandwiches for lunch and saw a huge sea turtle! Then we continued sailing to our final destination, Savanna Bay, where we will eat sloppy Joe’s and learn about our scuba gear and get ready to start diving tomorrow.
