Location: Marina Cay
Hi! (This is Lio by the way!) Today was absolutely, utterly, and incredibly exhausting. We started the day off by waking up and around 5:05 to the most CRAZY gusts of wind ever. To start things off, I want to say that last night, eight people slept outside. Me, (Lio), Henry, Jack, Liam, Brooks, Levi, Teagan, and Aodhan. Anyways, we all woke up at 5:05 to CRAZY gusts of wind. And to make matters worse, it started to rain, and when you put rain and wind together, it doesn’t combine so well. 😑. So everybody moved inside to get out of this so-called ‘Mini hurricane’ 🌀. BVI weather is sooo enjoyable, isn’t it? Well, to correct myself, Brooks and I didn’t wake up because we were in hammocks. Being in hammocks kind of feels like VIP treatment. All the weather, except for rain, stops us from having to move. After the terrible wake-up, we all attempted to go back to sleep.
Then came around 7:00, when we ate oatmeal and fruit for breakfast! I am a big fan of oatmeal, but apparently, other people aren’t, so I gave away some of my Jolly Rancher ropes to the hungry.🍬😋. After that was finished, we set sail to our new destination, called The Dogs. It has a bunch of rock cliffs that peer and tower over you. This is where we completed our FIRST EVER open water dive!!! 🤿. Which was SUPER fun. Some ✨ special people ✨ got to see a spotted eagle ray! Eagle rays are incredibly beautiful; they can sometimes be navy, but the one we saw today was grey with bright white spots. I was one of these lucky people, and I admired the way it moved so effortlessly in the water.
After this was over, we all headed back to the boat for lunch, which was Mac n cheese and PB n J’s! Pretty weird combo if you ask me, but we ate the food and that’s all that matters! 🥪 🍝. Once the cleanup was done, we set sail again! This led us to Marina Key. And on the way, I read a book called Only For Summer. Yes, I’m looking at you, Mom and Dad. I read a book for once! When we finished our 4-hour sail, we started dinner, and it was a good meal! We had spaghetti and garlic bread. Here comes the bad part. Some BOYS didn’t listen when Margaret said clearly Don’t take seconds. Can you guess what happened? They took seconds. So that wasn’t fun. Anyway, to end on a good note, it was a good day!!! Good byeeeee ✌️🥳
