Location: The Bight, Norman Island
Hi, I know you have all been waiting on the first updates from the student blog. Well, today started at around 5 am! Many of the kids were woken up by being rained on, then some stayed up or talked, but Charles, Brij, and Max started the day by playing with water guns and making sure everyone was ready to start the day. Then we all had breakfast at around 7 am to fuel for a long day, and Mikes M’s introduction talk, which ran from 8-10 am, got us all very excited for the program ahead. Finally, we set off from the docks to sail for a bit. Everyone got some sun and took turns learning to sail. A few hours after we went on a snorkeling and cave exploring adventure, Sophie, Brij, Charles, Reid, and Max loved the caves, while Dalila, Eliza, Georgia, Enya, both Reese R’s, and Libby were not as fond as the rest. Finally, we took our first ocean showers, then ate dinner, which the chefs of the day prepared for us (sloppy joes). Now we are about to have our first dive chat!
