Location: West End, Tortola
We started the day on a mooring ball at The Bite, waking up to God Save the King because Kyler, one of our staff, is British and it’s the 4th of July. After a quick breakfast of oatmeal and cereal, we headed off to the Indians for our very last dive of the trip. It was a beautiful spot, with vibrant reefs and diverse wildlife. Dillon saw a huge sea urchin, while Sloane and I saw a juvenile lobster. As soon as the dive was done, we started off towards West End. While on the way there, we were divided into clean up groups for boat appreciation. Some of the jobs were cleaning, like Arthur and Maddie scrubbing the deck, while others organized, like Maya did with the scuba gear. After a few hours of hard work, we got cleared as a clean boat and were able to go on shore for lunch. Kennedy and Ellory ate with me at a restaurant called Pussers, which was delicious. At around 4 pm we all came back to shower and clean up for the final barbecue. Addy braided her hair while Gabe played with marbles. We did our final squeeze as a boat on the tramp, and then cut up our action quest flag so we could all have a piece. Then, we all headed towards to the barbecue at Omars. Zoe and Ellis took a lot of cool photos. After the bbq, we ended the day with a bittersweet talk from Mike. How time has flown.
