Location: Great Harbor, Peter Island
This morning we slept through an early motor from Sandy Spit to West End. After a thorough cleanup of the majestic vessel that we call Mere Cat, we went to shore and had ample time to buy some amazing breakfast bagels, coffees, teas, and smoothies from the cafe and go for a grocery store run where many of us picked up Oreos and cocoa mix for our beloved father figure Jimmy (Ash). Aidan also purchased some beverages for the boat that will come into play later. After bringing our hauls back home, we had a nice tank run on the dock before slipping and getting on a nearby mooring ball. Most of us stayed on the dock to go to Pusser’s, which just opened right as we were leaving, while I stayed to chaperone Sean and Caroline. Eventually, everyone came back with their new West Indies swag, and we left for real this time. Our next stop was the famous Willy T, a restaurant and bar that was destroyed during hurricane Irma and turned into a dive site. We all shared a (ginger) beer* compliments of Aidan before kitting up and descending, taking the bottles with us as props for the pictures we would be taking. Everyone had a great time, I got to work on my underwater bottle flipping skills, and we got some great pictures. For lunch, we had kids and jelly sandwiches. The deli meats were still absent for some cruel reason. After lunch Uncle Jimmy walked all of us through the dreaded RDP tables, which, as it turns out, aren’t really that bad when you figure out how to use them.
