Location: Great Harbor, Peter Island

We slept in until 8 to recover from our final passage the night before. After an oatmeal breakfast, we made our way over to Salt Island, where we would dive the Rhone later in the day. We were told that we had 5 minutes to study for our Sailing Crew and VHF Certification tests, but Drake, Evan, Tati, and I were playing makeshift Spike Ball on the salon table instead of studying. Drake, Evan, Ellery, and I were confident we would pass because we already had the certification from previous years at Action Quest. However, Drake and Ellery were overconfident… We sat down to test, and in the end, only Jackson, Evan, and I were the only ones who passed both tests. Everyone else had the chance to retake the tests later in the day, so no one was too upset. We had an hour or two before we were scheduled to dive, so we set up a boom swing and swam until lunch, which was chicken salad wraps and sandwiches made by Ellery and Mia. Evan and I were still hungry and wanted dessert, so we became honorary chefs and made Hot Ham and Cheese Sandwiches and Grilled Cheeses for ourselves, the staff, and Jackson. Jackson reported that his was “10/10… easy,” Matty P declared it was “revolutionary,” and finally Sela exclaimed “Burnt!…but the bread was good” (The bread we used was some nice stuff from St. Barths). While we were cheffing up, Tati whipped out her tanning lotion to share with JJ so they could tan together on deck. After finishing up our food, we got picked up in a super dinghy to make our way over to the Wreck of the Rhone, a British Naval ship from the 1800s that sank off Salt Island in a hurricane. We went to the boat where the Dive Masters were getting certified to dive off, and 3 of them came with us to lead the dive and help out. We set up our tanks and descended to the shipwreck. After swimming around for a bit, we all saw a massive jellyfish with tentacles around 10 feet long that we observed from a distance but steered clear of. A trumpetfish was eating the tentacles, and Evan took a photo on his Akaso Action Cam II (Knockoff GoPro) of it. Later in the dive, we did a swim through the wreck, which came out at the propeller of the ship, which was awesome. We started to head up to the surface and finish the dive, and after putting away our tank,s we got a ride back to Harbor House Out. We did some final boom swings and then showered before heading back to Great Harbor Peter to spend the night for the second night in a row. It was the time for people to retake their tests, so Mia, Im Im, Walker, Tati, and JJ retook their tests while Drake and Ellery retook their VHF tests on deck together. Jackson got drafted to go help out the Rescue boat with their Rescue scenario, playing the part of a Panicked Diver and falling overboard off their boat, Why Knot. When he got back, most people passed in the end, and so now we are all sitting down for Mexican Night, and are preparing to raft with some other boats and see some old friends tonight.
PS: The blog was hijacked last nigh,t and Evan did NOT write “Good Night Yalllllll!!!!” on last night’s blog.
