Location: The Dogs

Day six started off with the boat motoring to “The Dogs” after breakfast to dive at “The Chimney.” This dive site was a group favorite so far; it consisted of swimming between two coral walls. After that, we went back to the sandy spot next to the mooring line we were on, and we were able to take off our fins and run along the bottom and do flips in the water. After that, we came up and filled our SCUBA tanks back up on the way to our second dive. Our second dive was at Coral Gardens, where we got to practice our marine life identification. People found spiny lobsters, a flounder, lots of parrot fish, trumpetfish, and blue tangs. We debriefed after having Mac and Cheese for lunch, and one of our counselors, Sam and Liz, taught us all about taxonomy. As I’m writing this, our wonderful chefs today are cooking us dinner before we have a Lifeworks forum tonight.
