Location: Muskmelon Bay, Guana Island
Hi all, our morning started off with a great meal of pancakes made by our chefs, Lorden and Parker. After the meeting ended, we set sail for our first dive site of the day, The Kraken. Before we got in the water, our chefs made us ramen for lunch which was delicious. At this dive site, one of the only remaining boats from Pearl Harbor was sunken, and a giant metal kraken was placed on top of it, but due to hurricane Irma, the Kraken was destroyed, leaving only parts of it lying around the wreck. There was an abundance of life that inhabited the remains of the wreck, which made for a great dive. After finishing our first dive of the day, we raised the anchor and sailed to Muskmelon Bay. After we arrived, we were given the opportunity to water ski and kneeboard. Once we all had finished with the water sports, we took the time to snorkel the reef that would be our night diving site tonight. We saw lots of fish and moon jellies while we snorkeled. Once we all had dried off, we had a dinner of chili, which tasted great, thanks to our chefs. At this point in time, we are receiving our clean laundry bags. Tonight we plan on setting up all of our dive equipment and jumping back in for our third-night dive of the trip. On this dive, we will be able to go off on our own in buddy pairs and plan our own dives. This will be our first time on our own, under the water, at night. Hopefully, we all can find our way back to the boat!
