Location: White Bay, Peter Island

Scarlett and Ty were our cooks for the day, making cereal in the morning, garlic bread and ham/turkey sandwiches for lunch, and amazing sloppy Joes for dinner. We started off in the Marina today, getting an overview and a general risk assessment by Director Mike. We made a cute feline friend who slept on one of the Catamarans and loved all the pets from everyone. We then started out on our journey to White Bay, Peter Island. During the trip, we sat on the trampoline at the front of the boat, getting soaked by the waves (wearing life jackets, don’t worry). Upon our arrival, we prepared our scuba gear and then went on our swim test, which was seven laps around the boat. For our first dive, there were two groups. Group 1 which consisted of Me (Tyler), Jack, Zach, Alexis, Caleb, and Kyler, who saw a massive conch shell, barracuda, and sting ray. Group 2 was Scarlett, Moorea, Dylan, Brian, Alli, and Ty got to see a sting ray, an eagle ray, and a juvenile French angelfish. Wrapping up our awesome dive session, we had fun jumping off the side of the boat. We’re now getting ready to meet the other boats for our Scuba review test and a fun night with friends from across boats. Something I know we’re all looking forward to is the night dive in which we will get to experience a nocturnal ocean environment.
