Location: White Bay, Peter Island

Hello from Forever For Now! This morning, our group woke up on day 2 to the rain drenching the boat. It began raining the previous night, so everyone moved around the boat, searching for sleeping spots at least twice. We walked into the cockpit to see our delicious top-notch breakfast prepared by our amazing chefs: cereal and fruit. As we ate our breakfast, we learned that Robbie LOVES cantaloupe, eating nearly the whole melon himself. At around 8 am, our group then walked over to the meeting point, where we had an interesting welcome meeting with Mike. He briefed us on the risks, do’s, and don’ts and the exciting adventures the different boats in AQ will embark on. After the meeting, our boat left the dock in Tortola and began sailing towards Peter Island. Our whole group lay on the trampoline and talked (and napped) as waves splashed our butts, and Liam kept wanting to tell stories. On an additional note, Liam wanted to let us know he learned the correct how to use shampoo and conditioner, then went back to his 2-in-1. Once we arrived at Peter Island, our boat began to prepare for our swim tests. Our first test was six laps around the boat, where Alex lapped everyone. Then came our 10-minute float test, so the girls tried to create a star, and the guys did the dead man float. After our swim tests, we began to prep for our dive. I was partnered with Elise M and Elise S, Gabby partnered with Madison, Marin buddied with Grace, Robbie with Rudy and Liam with Alex. During our dive, we practiced out-of-breath situations and clearing our masks. We also saw a stingray before ascending.

After our dive, we began to learn about our projects for the Dolphin course, had an ocean shower and got ready for dinner. Dinner was sloppy joes, and we began our squeeze routine. One of my jobs as the skipper is that I have to create a squeeze question. Today’s question was, “If you were on death row, what would your last meal be?” One of the most memorable answers was Will’s, saying he would be in a human-sized piece of bread in a bucket of hummus, eating from the inside. At 7 pm, we went to the boat, Pure Joy 3, to do a dive question review. Once we came back, our group played a round of Spoons and got ready for the night.
