Location: Savanna Bay, Virgin Gorda
After an early wakeup, due to the many details of being skipper, the clock was ticking as the crew rushed through breakfast to start a full day of sailing. We got the boat off the mooring, and in minutes the sail was up, and we were moving on nothing but wind and water. Though it started as a relaxing morning, just after eating sandwiches for lunch, it turned into fast-paced sailing. The boat has heeling, and the idea of sailing a boat finally seemed to come together for the crew. We finally arrived after hours of sailing to Virgin Gorda, where we practiced handling scuba equipment and ate a delicious dinner of pasta alfredo.
