Day six began as our voyage days usually do, early and with the same six or so song playlist that we’ve all got about half memorized by now. Breakfast included a scrumptious selection of cereals and was followed by a jam-packed morning filled with a lengthy yet interesting dive chat and some Pico sailing and windsurfing. It just so happened that the boat my fellow shipmate Alex and I were in became so lodged with water, we could no longer sail! That was… an experience. Lunch included soup, crackers, and hot sauce. Unfortunately, our skipper missed lunch and we had forgotten to save her some! All the shipmates felt terrible, but a quickly made sandwich helped solve the problem. While washing dishes we realized a few had fallen in the water. Hannah dove down and managed to pick up some cutlery, a bowl, and a cheese grater which had been missing while we were cooking lunch. After lunch, all the shipmates went out wakeboarding, waterskiing, and kneeboarding. Kyle, Alex, and Jackson perfected their wakeboarding skills while Chrissy and Declan shredded the wake on their kneeboards. We quickly jumped into snorkeling after that, and saw several baby barracudas (our ship-fish) and raced back to where our boats were anchored. This evening we’re about to head off to the beach BBQ, which we are all excited to attend so we can meet up with friends from other boats! It’s been an amazing six days so far, and I can’t wait for the ten or so more to come! date: Aug 4, 2017
