Location: Savanna Bay, Virgin Gorda

Today was a long day, but a fun day nonetheless. After waking up we saw a large group of tarpon feeding under our boat. After breakfast and a quick lesson in assembling scuba gear, we set sail for Virgin Gorda from The Bight. The total time that the voyage took rounded out to around six hours! Despite it taking so long for us to reach our destination, there was a lot that happened during our voyage. For example, a photographer passed by the boat and took pictures of us all on top of it (Editor’s note: this was likely a YachtShots BVI photographer; you may be able to find these photos on their website). We learned a lot about sailing, and that made arriving in Virgin Gorda all the more satisfying. When we arrived we cooled off in the water and spent the rest of the day relaxing. I really enjoy today, and I look forward to tomorrow and the rest of this exciting voyage!
