Location: Villefranche - France

After an expertly prepared breakfast of milk, cereal and yogurt, the Argonaunts spent a rigorous morning inspecting all of Argo’s rigging in preparation for the journey to Italy. The crew was briefed on their PFDs and station bills before all hands were on deck to cast Argo off from the dock. While short, the journey from Nice to Villefranche offered the crew their first taste of Mediterranean sailing and the Riviera’s mountainous coast. Arriving in Villefranche we anchored and settled down to an afternoon of French baguettes, swimming and some firefighting practice. Luckily todays only casualty was a splinter, we finished off the evening with a briefing on basic crew skills by Cooper and Chapman as we prepare for our first passage to Italy.
