Location: Great Harbor, Peter Island
Another great day! This morning we woke up at GHP and motored to Blue Chromis Reef, which is a super cool reef that has a lot of Blue Chromis fish. We set up our gear and got ready for our fun dive. We saw a bunch of tarpons and other cool fish. It was an independent dive, so that means that we navigated around the reef without instructors. After we dove, we had some free time before lunch which was mac n cheese. Then, we hung out on the boat, and some people did a starfish and squid dissection. Some of us used this time as well to prepare for our dolphin presentations we are doing later tonight. Our shipmate, Josh, decided to take advantage of this free time to participate in the “cinnamon challenge” for $5. It was interesting to watch. Then, we motored back to GHP and did our ocean showers, and had breakfast for dinner. Now, we are for our research presentations.
