This morning was probably my favorite at AQ! We slept in and slowly woke to Banana Pancakes by Jack Johnson, amongst other similar songs, and began cooking pancakes for breakfast. Greyson, Thea, Emilia, and I danced and sang while Caroline made some of the best pancakes I’ve ever had, while Brodie, LJ, Corn, and Andrew D went waterskiing as the sun rose. Greyson achieved his dream of holding a stack of pancakes using the SACRED pitchfork, and Lyla made up a dive she missed a few days prior before we headed into the capital of the British Virgin Islands, Road Town. Sloane and Sophia ventured around town searching for headphones, to no avail. Brodie and I bought rice crispy treats and met up with the rest of the group in the store Latitude 18º, where we went shopping. We left Road Town and began a motor back to GHP filled with long naps. When we awoke, Andrew D heard the yells of Roman, a friend of his from ActionQuest, last summer who decided to do the Minerva program this year. Minerva sails across the southern Caribbean and joined us for the first time in 17 days today, so this was a special moment for him. Just moments later, BJ from Minerva came on a dinghy to visit all of us who were shipmates with him on Odyssey last year, and we got to catch up with him in person for the first time in 364 days. Our slow day came to a close with Mexican night for dinner, and our meal was concluded with a reading of Garrison’s hilariously descriptive incident report of the Pastagate incident.
