Location: Sidney's, Jost van Dyke

Today started off early at 6:15 in the morning. Our crew sluggishly rose from their beds to prepare for the infamous hike up Mt. Sage. After a quick pep talk from Mike, we stared on our way up, and boy was it a lot of up. The first hill had many of us wanting to quit, but we forged on. It was a grueling hill that was hard even for the cars. After what seemed like an eternity, the hill leveled out every so slightly, and our crew regained just a little more energy. We laughed with friends to pass the time as we walked slowly, making our way up into the clouds. Finally, we reached our destination atop the highest peak in the Virgin Islands. On our way down, we stopped for banana smoothies, which were absolutely delicious, and hiked on to cheeseburgers in paradise. After our delicious lunch, we boarded our vessels and sailed to a beautiful island where we had our sandcastle competition. The Calypso crew made an apple tree out of one of our shipmates. After lots of laughs and lots of rinses in the ocean, we readied ourselves for the BBQ at Sydney’s. The food was wonderful, and we all returned back to our bunks, grateful for the rest after our longest day yet.
