Day 15- The Longest Day

Location: Sidney's, Jost van Dyke

Today was eventful! We woke up to an immediate reminder that we had an 8-mile hike today! We ate some cereal and fruit and then took a dinghy ashore. I started with my friends, but soon I decided to stick it out alone. After a few quick sprints, I was pretty ahead of the group. I was at the peak an hour later and finished in 20th place! For the hike, back down I was fortunate enough to be accompanied by my older brother (yes mom and dad, we are doing great). After a few hours in port, we had a quick sail over to a beach where we had a sand castle building contest. As for now, we are getting ready for a BBQ on shore tonight! I now understand why it is called the longest day ever!
