Location: Cane Garden Bay, Tortola

We woke up to the VHF and music this morning at 7:30 we had a yummy breakfast of oatmeal in the anchorage, then did a speed cleanup. We sailed over to Brewer’s Bay at 9 and splashed in the water at 10:30. After briefing, we were informed by Rachael that the whole shop could only ask the staff 20 questions the whole day! By 12 we had already asked 10! The first dive was at Shark Point, and there were no sharks! It was our second and last fish ID dive for the trip. The visibility started out great, but got a whole lot worse during the dive. Will and Paul from the media team joined my group. We were underway for about 20 minutes before we reached the Pinnacles. Michael and Meriel made some delicious chicken and cheese quesadillas! We did another speedy cleanup and set up our dive gear for a second dive of the day. We split up into 2 groups, the 6 girls with Alisa and the 6 boys with Rachael. The dive was 20 minutes long. Our group saw a pregnant lobster and a giant puffer fish! Afterwords, we disassembled our gear and had a good half hour tanning session on the roof. Alisa called us to the cockpit and we were all informed that we were all to take freshwater showers! I was the second to shower in my cabin and it was soooo refreshing! When the boys were done showering, we were underway once again. Soon the compressor turned off and the entire boat rejoiced. We sailed into Cane Garden Bay for dinner and to get fuel and water. I read and wrote my journal. Once we reached Cane Garden Bay, Matt was informed that we would have to get more fuel and freshwater in the morning. For dinner, we had Thai peanut chicken. Danielle from the media team joined us for dinner. During cleanup, the whole boat jammed out to Alisa’s music. The first song on was “Tropics”. After Matt dropped off Danielle, he joined the party. “Tropics” is dive side’s signature song. Our boats signature song is “Sunday Candy” or any song from any musical or movie. We had a movie night with the other Neptunes. All in all it was a great day on Rangitoto Too.
