Today was another amazing day at ActionQuest. It was a rotation day, which entails that everyone rotates through four activities throughout the day. Lady Aubrey went waterskiing/wakeboarding/knee boarding first. Every rotation day I have been improving upon my waterskiing, and today I almost got up slaloming! After the activity, I learned that the rest of my boat had performed wonderful feats, including 360s on the kneeboard, jumps across the wake on the wakeboard, and slaloming on skis. Great job guys! Our second activity was scuba diving. All of the groups saw some amazing underwater flora and fauna. We are all one dive away from being officially PADI certified! The day’s final rotation activities both involved sailing. The first activity concerned learning the boats and the systems that accompany living and working on it. The second activity was Pico sailing. Two teams of six raced in pairs. My team was triumphant with a 3-0 victory. The day neared, it’s conclusion, with moving the ship to an anchorage and having a beach BBQ. Although there was no music, talking alone was sufficient entertainment. Mingling with all of the other boats and seeing friends that are not on one’s boat is consistently a fun experience. The day ended with a shower at sundown and a movie on the boat. This truly was a splendiferous AQ day.
