Location: Muskmelon Bay, Guana Island
Today everyone woke up with excitement only ever obtainable once at Action Quest and every couple of months at home, Pancakes for breakfast. Ari, Luke, Amelie, and Gabe made exceptional pancakes with good quality, texture, and consistency of flavor, with large quantities having everybody full and awake. Considering our limited kitchen space and the boat’s admirable skills of teamwork, pancakes for breakfast were a delightful reminder that being a kid is one of the world’s greatest gifts that the world can give us. Once we completed breakfast, we sailed over to Trellis. Ari, Avery, and I spoke to a local woman who owned a restaurant right off the dock. She asked where we lived, and we told her that we live on a Monohull. She gasped in astonishment and told us that she was “Very sorry for us.”
We got some food at the market and got some lunch as well. I ordered some chicken tenders knowing that there were chickens roaming near our table. I ate it right in front of them. I do not regret my purchase. We then explored the busy and small town. Everyone saw a building that was near the dock and the beach, which was a summer camp. Children were playing soccer outside of the building at the beach, using two chairs as one goal and a wall as another goal. Other children were laughing as they jumped off of the dock. No amount of heat could warm me up on the inside seeing these kids having so much fun. We returned to the boat and set sail for Muskmelon. Once we arrived, we all ended up going from staying completely quiet while listening to an orchestra play “My favorite things” from “The sound of music” Soundtrack to screaming “Starship’s” and other early 2010 pop songs. We took our “PADI open water” final exam, and we all passed. I then was told by Garry to finish this journal. Goodbye.
