Location: Great Harbor, Peter Island

Today started out with a sail over to Peter Island while everyone slept underway. When we were almost there, Parker and Wesley (or was it really Rachel?) set out bagels and fruit for breakfast. After eating and cleaning up, we all completed knowledge reviews 3 and 4 in our books for our rescue lecture later on. Once we arrived, we set up our gear in preparation for a search and recovery dive. To complete this dive, we had to swim in a U pattern to find a hidden weight belt with our buddy. We had to go down in pairs to minimize air consumption. While some people were still down there, and as well as when everyone was finished, we all jumped in the water to play while it was pouring.

We even had a dance party during the downpour. Finally, after everyone had come back up, we were all starving and sat down to have lunch. Wesley and Parker got lunch ready, and we had our choice of deli, PB&J, or Nutella sandwiches. We then got back in the water since it started raining again. All of us were pushing or throwing each other in and playing with a football. We were able to enjoy and relax in the water for a couple of hours until we had our second search and recovery dive. For the second dive, we went down in pairs again because everyone seemed to enjoy that better. This was because we were able to go finish our skills and ascend, rather than having to wait for everyone else to complete it as well. To finish this dive, we had to show the instructors we were able to find a lift bag with an expanding square search pattern. We also had to show we were able to tie a bowline around the lift bag. By the time everyone was back up, it was time to shower and get ready for dinner. Parker and the honorary chef Huddy made Caesar salad with sides of risotto and corn. After dinner, we all sat down to go over our rescue lecture. When that was done and everyone was exhausted after a long day, we headed to bed to get ready for another day of rescuing!
