Location: Little Harbor, Jost van Dyke
This morning was obviously kicked off with the song Makeba. We ate oatmeal and cereal for breakfast, and we got ready for the annual hike. We took a dingy over to the dock where we started the hike up Sage Mt. Gabe, Hunter, Tucker, and Ellie were at the front of the group during the hike. While Megan, Sovo, Moseley, and I took in all of the beautiful views of the ocean and islands. Once we got to the top of the hike, everyone ordered refreshing banana smoothies and signed their name in the book at the very top of Mt Sage. We hiked back down the trail and took lots and lots of photos. We completed the hike at the docks, which took around 3 hours (8 miles)! Where Helen and Skyann enjoyed delicious piña coladas! For lunch, we ate at shore at a small beach near the docks. After lunch, we set sail to Sandy spit beach. Scottie, Moseley, Sovo, Gabe, Tucker, Skyann, Hunter, Quinn, and I met up with the other boats, swam, and relaxed at the Sandy Spit beach! While Megan, Ellie, and Helen relaxed and swam on the boat. Followed by setting sail to Sydney’s Peace and Love for an all-AQ camp bbq! We all got Souvenirs from the local shop! In addition, Tucker got a full head of corn rows! It was such a fun BBQ, and we are all super excited to see what the last bit of this trip has in store!
