Location: Cane Garden Bay, Tortola
Hello again!!! Today was a crazy eventful day and we all had a lot of fun. We started the day with a bit of mourning, Bode’s 14-day trip came to a close and we all lost a valued shipmate to his uncles wedding party :’( We started the “chaos” rotation day with a deep dive in Muskmelon Bay- during which we spotted a viper moray eel, baby Lionfish, and stonefish- followed by a long morning/afternoon rafted with Oryx. Because most of the other boats were aboard one of our two rafted vessels, it was pretty crowded but we still managed to have tons of fun. While some kids waterskied, wakeboarded, or knee boarded, there was a rope swing off the boom of Outhouse which Adrien, River, Ani, and Ada all did backflips off of! For lunch we had chicken and cheese quesadillas, and I fulfilled my duty as dedicated Rubik’s cube coach, writing countless algorithms for everyone to study. Before departing from Muskmelon, we took a midday ocean shower which, Im pretty sure we all agreed, felt AMAZING during the hottest time of day. After a pretty relaxing sail we arrived in Cane Garden Bay where we all helped on deck when pulling into the dock for a freshwater refill. Afterward, we picked up a mooring ball in the bay and enjoyed the sunset while Ani and Adrien played chef 🙂 For dinner we engorged in some delicious pesto pasta with shredded chicken, along with garlic bread. We were joined for dinner by Jake from the boat “Ghost Rider”, and (not to toot my own horn) my squeeze question called for some great responses. “Would the person to your right survive a zombie apocalypse- why or why not?” Anyways, im writing this as roughly 20 of us are packed into the bottom deck of the one and only Harbor House Out sitting area built to accommodate approximately 8-12 cold-blooded beings, OR anyone who doesn’t sweat- unfortunately I dont fall into either of those categories but we make do with what we have here in paradise! Well fellow families thats all I’ve got for tonight.
Ps: I love and miss you more Carter 🙂
