Sup y’all!
We had an incredibly jam-packed day today. We woke up in gorgeous Musk Melon Bay to some scrambled eggs and coffee cake, thanks to Finley and Amelia. We quickly slathered on sunscreen and pulled on our socks and sneakers to prepare for our hike through the Musk Melon greenery. Everyone arrived on the island ready to adventure alongside the neighboring Nacho Dinghy kids. It was an exhausting trek uphill, but the view was worth the wait! On the way back down, the group got a bit too excited and everyone wound up a tad bit lost… but we were all okay in the end. Bode, River, Skye, Mackenzie, and Jack (from Nacho) wound up on the other side of the island after taking the wrong turn. Bode, River, and Mackenzie all tried to climb their way along the coastline back to the boat while Jack and Skye built a rock statue in hopes of attracting some attention. Everyone regrouped back at Out House and continued the rest of the rotation day. Next, we headed to Nacho to continue our Peak Buoyancy Performance section of our Advanced Open Water certification. We hastily readied our gear and jumped into the water to complete the various skills asked of us. We had to knock over weights in the sand with our regulators without touching the bottom and perform various hovering techniques.

Once we passed with flying colors, we ascended and headed to Oryx to get zesty!!!!!!! Skye and Amelia absolutely zested it up and were shredding on the water (despite the erratic wind and questionable conditions) while everyone else was back on the boat catching some Z’s. After the zest fest was over, we all headed back to Out House and chowed on some Tuscan white bean soup and saltines. Safe to say it was delicious. Then we headed over to Eoli to do some water sports: River, Bode, Amelia, and Adrien all tore it up on the wakeboard while Ani and Ada were along for the ride. Skye, Mackenzie, and Finley were busy interrogating the instructors about their sailing and diving experience back on the boat! Once the rotation ended, we returned home to practice our knots for our big test in a couple of days. Before too long, we set sail to Summers’ beach for an awesome barbecue where we FEASTED on burgers, hot dogs, Chips Ahoy, and Mike’s secret concoction… spoiler alert, it was a mixture of Sprite and pineapple juice… and watched a beautiful sunset. It began to pour, but that didn’t stop us from having a good time. Fin, Mackenzie, Bodie, River, and Adrien all hopped in the water while Skye, Amelia, Ada, and Ani frolicked in the rain. Then, other boats began to throw their staff in the water, so of course, Out House had to follow suit! First, Ani, Ada, Skye, and Amelia threw Skyler in the water. She wanted to kill us afterwards, but that didn’t stop us from dragging Zoe in as well. River, Bode, Adrien, and Skye hunted Tyler down next and tackled him into the water. They tried to get Aden, but he was way too speedy and slipped away. Everyone returned home for an epic night shower and is now preparing to make some brownies in honor of Bode’s departure. It was an incredible day!

P.S. Miss you a lot, Mom & Dad! Tell Cone not to miss me too much. Also sorry no Shakespeare: (
