Location: Muskmelon Bay, Guana Island

Today, we were awoken later than usual to the sound of Chappell Roan’s angelic music, which was truly a gift. I really enjoyed the extra thirty minutes of sleeping. For breakfast, we indulged in cereal given to us by our wonderful chefs, Maddie and Sophia. After breakfast, we ventured to the Highlander and Oddessy boat raft, where most of us made friendship bracelets. However, Nate did not join us because he had to finish his open water dive in order to become certified. He pushed through despite his congestion. Then, after an hour on the boat raft, we headed to the dive boat to hopefully become certified. For our last particle dive, Ali, Maddie, Grace, and I explored the coral reef wall 60 feet down, where we saw huge lobsters and a couple of sting rays. Before we emerged, we moon-jumped on the ocean floor and did flips. After Nora, Mallory, Maddie, Ali, and I had an underwater race, sadly, Ali cheated and won. On a higher note, all of us became certified divers today! We were all so happy to finally get our certifications. Then, we were blessed with the most amazing Mac and cheese made by Grace. Later that day, we sailed to another island and went to the beach barbecue. To end the day, most of us are staying up to watch a meteor shower at midnight. Also, I am so excited about tomorrow’s race; hopefully, we will win!

Kind regards,
Elizabeth C.
