Location: Mountain Point, Virgin Gorda
Hi everyone, it’s Michelle! We slept in this morning after last night’s barbecue and woke up to Leila and Sloane’s French toast. After getting ready, four of the nacho girls joined us for our sail to Mountain Point. During our sail, we took turns on the helm and did jybes while singing along to some music. Once we made it to Mountain Point, we had a quick lunch of peanut butter and jelly sandwiches and got ready for the boat Olympics. We took turns using Carla’s zinc to decorate our bodies, writing Nomada on our legs and drawing abs on our stomachs. Nat, Sloane, Jack, Tyler, and Mia shotgunned Red Bulls to refuel their energy for the boat Olympics.
The first activity we did at the beach was tug of war against __ and won. The second round was against Nacho, and we lost. After the tug of war, we chose two people, Jack and Holden, to hop on a soaped-up dinghy while being pushed off and run back to the beach for the next person to go. Holden went first and failed after many attempts, and was told to retire and head back to land. Jack swam to the dinghy and was able to get on quickly, and made it back to the beach to win us second place. Then we had to run into the water and soak up as much water as possible to fill up an empty Pringles container. Sloane went first, carrying Mathilda’s rashguard that got snatched by a councilor. She then tackled him into the water and attempted to get the shirt back, but we called for her to come back before she did further damage. We all tuck turns, wringing out our hair and shirts and spitting mouthfuls of water into the can, and we won first place. Then, Nat, Mathilda, and Sloane attempted to balance on a fender but weren’t any good at it. When all the games were done, we got on the soapy dinghy to take us home. We were all freezing and went directly to the power tower to warm up in the sun. Almost everyone fell asleep while the staff drove us back to Mountain Point. During our ocean shower, Mathilda and Griffin grabbed jellyfish, and we were all freaking out and refused to go back in the water. We got ready and had a delicious dinner of Caesar salad and risotto. Lucy, Amelia, and Carla are now jellyfish hunting, trying to get one in the deckie bucket, while Jules takes pictures of the sunset.
