Today we woke up really early, well our staff did. They had to be up by about 4 in the morning to drive the boat all the way to Anegada. Luckily we got to sleep in till about 7. We had oatmeal for breakfast once we got to Anegada before the boat Olympics. All the dive side boats had a big competition of games against each other. The first was a game of balance. Each boat picked a nominee to ride on a fender. They would have to balance on it while getting water thrown at them. First with both hands, then with one hand, and then with no hands and just their legs holding on to the fender. We won one of the three games. Lily won that for us. The second game was called Chicklet. To explain it, there is a dinghy covered in soap with two councilors in the dinghy, and there’s also a bunch of floats called chicklets in the dinghy. The boat has to send one person at a time to go try and steal one Chicklet at a time from the staff. First, no one could really get any. Unfortunately, we didn’t win that game, but it was still really fun.
Then we played tug-of-war against each boat, and we lost terribly. The fourth game we played was just called Milk. Someone from each boat would try and chug a carton of milk through a snorkel. They could switch out with other people if it were too much milk, but Nolan ended up drinking just about all the milk and only left a few sips for Sadie to finish off. It was close, but apparently, we also lost. I get the feeling the staff running the games was siding with their boat—a lot. The last game we played didn’t really have a name but it was something like everyone digs a hole under a paddle, one person runs under it, spins around a fender five times, and runs into the water to grab a mouthful of seawater and spit it into a Pringles bottle to fill it up… the game. It was a little chaotic, as you can imagine, and really we won because we got it filled up first, but the other boats said we were cheating cause we used water in our hair to help fill up the bottle taken, which they said was cheating but our boat didn’t agree. In our minds, we won. After the games, we headed back to the boat and had lunch. After we sailed out to Cooper Island, everyone, including me, slept on the way there, even though the waves were terrible. Some people helped sail the boat, and some people worked on getting their shipwreck specialties. The staff saw dolphins while we were asleep. And they’re showing everyone the videos while I type this. We had tacos for dinner. They were really good. Oh, and Cici made our cake. We’re gonna watch a movie tonight before we go to bed. Hopefully, it isn’t pitch-perfect two, but we’ll see.
