Location: Marina Cay

Hey! Today we started out the day with cereal and some PBandJ. Once Caspian, Arthur, and Alivia finished up with dishes, Helena raised the anchor, and we made our way to the sea. The crew got to practice with operating the helm, managing the jib sheets and the main sheet. In particular, Cooper expressed massive enthusiasm for operating the helm. We also got some reviews on the points of sail, being close haul, close reach, beam reach, and broad reach. After everyone got practiced with each of the roles, the facilitators steered the boat to Virgin Gorda. On the way, we ordered takeout pizza and burgers. We filled up our fresh water tanks and ate lunch afterward. For the next hour, everyone took turns on the helm, steering the Mango for the duration of two songs of their choosing. During the voyage, many spent a lot of time reading and napping, while Jamie, Lea, Liv, and Abby had a lively conservation the entire way. Upon arriving, we all played card games and took showers. Unlike the day before, our tanks of water were full, meaning we could take showers without fear of running out of fresh water. For dinner, GG and Cooper prepared pasta and tortellini for dinner. We contemplated hailing the other boats, as all staff we absent on our boat. Eventually, they returned, and we had a lively conversation about the romantic relationships between staff members. After Sophia and GG cleaned and put away the dishes, all of us got ready for the night. Overall, it was a lovely day!
