Location: Muskmelon Bay, Guana Island
This morning started off with me independently making and cleaning up breakfast, which was pancakes (along with Lyla beautifully cutting up fruit). Our sail started, and we headed towards Beef Island. First stop, groceries. We were the first boat to arrive, so we hurried to claim what we wanted before the other boats beat us to it. Lyla stocked up on gallons of water.
Along with everyone else getting HECKA snacks. Afterward, we headed to this cool art shop, Aragon, which was on the beach. It was super cool and pretty and sold gorgeous artwork, jewelry, bags, baskets, and more. Almost everyone got awesome T-shirts, including Meredith and Claire getting the same ones. Outside of the shop was a “community” trampoline, where Thomas learned how to do a backflip for the first time after mastering doing it in the water. Later on, we all headed to grab lunch at the Loose Mongoose. Lunch was amazing: Drew, Stella, Kate, Meredith, Hays, and I all got fruity Island drinks that were delicious. The food was great, too. Although it did take some time, it was totally worth it. Once everyone finished and paid, we went towards the dinghy to go back to the boat. However, we ended up waiting for around an extra hour due to other things happening on the boat. During that time, Kellen, Thomas, Claire, and I all played games to pass the time. After finally making it onto the boat again, we all sorted through our freshly cleaned laundry (everyone’s favorite part of the day) and showered. Now, we are having a chill night listening to some classic dad rock, my own hype playlist, while Thomas and Lyla start on dinner. Dinner tonight is chili and rice. After dinner, we do not have any dive lessons or chats, so we are planning on watching a movie and winding down. Overall, an amazing, chill day, and we all got to experience another part of the islands while going on land!
