Location: Vixen Point, Gorda Sound
Today, our day started at the ripe time of 5 o’clock so they could start our 4-hour sale to Anegada. Soon after this early start, Magnus, Cameron, and I (Amy) joined our staff up at the top deck of the boat and snacked while we waited for our friends to wake up. While still sailing, Chase, Eli, Emily, and I took two hours to cook French toast for our boat mates (we may just be bad cooks…). After enjoying our breakfast, we continued to sail and arrived at Anegada. Then, after arriving, we took a quick swim. A boat then picked us up and took us to the beach. At the beach, we met up with four different ActionQuest boats to participate in the beach Olympics. The first game was Tug of War, where Vaughn carried us in the back of the rope, and Breckyn was at the front. Next, we had a competition where one person from each boat tried to balance on a fender in the water. Unfortunately, despite Magnus’ efforts, he came up with a loss, but he was clearly the best. Finally, the last game in the Olympics was a competition vs. two people to try to stay balanced on a paddle board while trying to hit their opponent with a pool noodle or make them lose their balance on the paddle. Once this game was over, our boat had a vicious sand and splash war in the water. The main participants in this fight were Magnus, Emily, Cameron, Ellory, Sloane, and Fin. We got picked up from this fight and then went back to our boat to eat a scrumptious lunch of PB and J’s. Once everyone filled up, we started our sailing journey back to Vixon Point, where we were that morning. On our way back, some people were sleeping and then getting some sail lessons from Mike. Once we got back, we ate dinner, which was “burgers,” beans, bread, and mashed potatoes. Currently, we just got out of our showers in the ocean, where Magnus and Chase, unfortunately, got stung by jellyfish. However, we have cleaned up and are ready for our dive lesson with JT.
