Location: Savanna Bay, Virgin Gorda
Hi parents! Today was day 4, and we woke up and had eggs that Carson made. Then we briefed on the boat on how to navigate with a compass underwater, then went to the beach to practice. Gene first demonstrated it, and then we practiced it in our buddy pairs. We put on blindfolds so we could learn to navigate with only the compass. After that, we had some time to hang out with Aloha, the other Neptune boat. Then we came back to the boat and did water sports. Next, we had lunch which was chicken salad sandwiches made by Lila and Carson. After that, we headed over to the sand circles to do our nav dive. This dive was in partners. We went in a straight line and also did a square with a compass. Then most of us showered early while still there. Then we did a bunch of night dive bookwork while sailing back to Savannah Bay to spend the night and have chili for dinner. We also had a dive chat for night diving. We had a fun day while bonding.
