Location: Leverick Bay, Virgin Gorda
Hey parents, today we started our morning with a shortened rotation day. For breakfast, we had French toast, cooked by Bea and Jimena, which was so yummy. Our first activity of the day was water skiing, but Margo, Bea, Xavi, Jimena, Poppy, Lulu, Loren, and I took the deepest nap on the bow of Nomada. We all passed out after the long day that we had yesterday. Next, we had our Coral Reef conservation on Nomada as well, and we learned about how to keep our coral reefs safe and the factors that can negatively or positively affect them. After, we had a beach, where we all got to go to the beach for beach activities like paddle boarding and sailing the mini zest sailboats. Margo and I, and Xavi and Jimena, went on paddle boards together, it was so much fun. Max and Jorge went on a zest sailboat together, and so did Lulu and Raiden, which they were really good at, and they went super fast. Zach also went on a zest sailboat and showed off his skills! After the beach, we came back to the boat for lunch, and we all made peanut butter and jelly sandwiches together, probably one of my favorite lunches. We completed our cleanup extra fast today, so we had some free time before we began our next rotation activity.
During this time, we all went to hang out on the bow, and I gave everybody matching shark henna! Then, we repeated practicing all of the knots we had learned. We got to drive the dinghies, and Jorge and Raiden got to drive super fast. Then we got to do antibacterial showers and drive our boat to Virgin Gorda for the barbecue. We arrived at Virgin Gorda and went shopping at the supermarket. Once we came back to the boat, we got our phones and we went to call all of you guys! Finally, it was time to go to the barbecue, and we all got dressed up and took pictures on the dock. We ate some super good food, and we got to hang out with all of the boats, including all of the boats from dive side. Finally, we got back to our boats and I’m writing this blog right now! Overall, I think we had a super fun day, and I had such a nice time hanging out with everybody!!
